Weekends are for adventures and we've got you covered with the Ontario camping trip series all summer long. We've explored a lot of Ontario and have chosen our favourite parks for these weekend getaways, where you can expect gorgeous tree-lined trails, cool lake swims, dark night skies glittering with stars and campfire conversations with your new friends.

Pinery Park (2 days, 1 night)
June 21-22
The plan:
Day 1: Depart Yorkdale TTC Station at 9am and begin the adventure!
St. Jacobs Farmers’ Market – Explore Canada’s largest year-round farmers’ market, featuring fresh produce, artisanal goods, and Mennonite culture.
Grand Bend – Enjoy a late lunch and take in the lively atmosphere of this popular beach town. Walk along the strip, visit local shops, or relax by the water.
Pinery Provincial Park – Arrive at the park, set up camp, and explore the scenic trails. Watch the sunset at Pinery Beach, cook dinner, and stargaze.
Day 2: Wake up and enjoy a campfire breakfast followed by a relaxing morning on the beach. Swim, sunbathe, or rent a canoe/kayak to explore the Old Ausable Channel.
Stratford, Ontario – Visit this charming town known for its arts and theatre scene. Stroll along the Avon River, explore boutique shops, or grab a coffee at a local café.
Return to Toronto – Depart Stratford in the late afternoon, with a short stop for snacks before arriving back at Yorkdale Station.

Bruce Peninsula National Park (2 days, 1 night)

The plan:
Day 1: Depart Yorkdale TTC Station at 7:30amam and begin the adventure!
Stop at Hoggs Falls en route to Lions Head beach and enjoy some free time for food.
Hoggs Falls - Upper Side Trail Loop is 3.7km and rated moderate.

Arrive at Cyprus Lake campground and set up campsites (your guide will be there to help!).
Enjoy a delicious campfire meal followed by a short hike to the Bruce Peninsula Grotto for sunset and stargazing.
Hiking the Grotto: The hike through the park to reach the Grotto in Tobermory takes about 45 minutes each way. Along the way, you’ll see diverse wetlands, ancient cedar trees spiraling from cliff-edges, a multitude of orchids and ferns, birds, and so much more! The cave itself is stunning, carved from ancient limestone and filled with the crystal clear, pristine turquoise waters of Georgian Bay. You can walk along a ledge inside its cavity or, if you’re brave enough, even take a swim inside!
Day 2: Start your day at camp with a hearty campfire breakfast and enjoy some free time to hang out at the Grotto or explore the trails around the campsite.
Head out and visit the town of Tobermory - you can have lunch in town, rent kayaks and paddle around, hike one of the trails or grab some ice cream.
Drive to Inglis Falls and hike the Bruce and Pine Loop trail.
Bruce and Pine Loop trail: 3.9km loop trail has 120m elevation gain and takes an average of just over an hour to complete.
This hike is rated moderate on All Trails.
Depart for Toronto and arrive back in the evening.
